JUNIOR UX/UI DESIGNER · DESIGN TO CODE · OPEN TO CLIENT TEAMS

I design responsive interfaces, clarify complex flows, and build working prototypes that help product and engineering teams move together.

Selected UX work

04 case notes
PaletteSnap interface extracting and naming colors from a photograph

02 · INTERACTION DESIGN · VISUAL TOOL

PaletteSnap: turning color extraction into an editable workflow

A client-side tool that extracts three to eight dominant colors, gives each color a memorable name, and lets users correct the palette by sampling directly from the image.

interaction designcolor systemsCanvas APIresponsive UI
STRUCTURE
Upload, review extracted colors, directly sample a replacement, then export the final palette.
DECISION
Keep technical image processing invisible while preserving direct control over every result.
OUTPUT
A reusable palette card and Instagram layout suggestions organized by hue, saturation, and lightness.
ClusterPick interface showing dataset analysis and clustering recommendations

03 · INFORMATION DESIGN · BACHELOR'S THESIS

ClusterPick: explaining an ML recommendation to non-specialists

An interactive research tool that turns 49 dataset characteristics into ranked clustering recommendations, plain-language geometry descriptions, and a visual result.

information architecturedata visualizationStreamlitevaluation
FLOW
Upload a CSV, inspect dataset characteristics, compare ranked algorithms, then review a 2D cluster visualization.
CHALLENGE
Expose enough methodology to support trust without requiring users to understand the full model pipeline.
VALIDATION
Stress-tested edge cases, challenged evaluation assumptions, and revised the methodology before thesis review.
AI-ASSISTED REVIEW

I used adversarial questions to uncover DBSCAN edge cases and a circularity risk in class-separability evaluation, then verified and addressed those concerns in the research.

TEICA.AI product interface for natural-language product search

04 · INTERNSHIP · MULTIDISCIPLINARY DELIVERY

TEICA.AI: translating semantic search into a product experience

During my internship, I contributed to web applications including natural-language product search backed by Node.js, MongoDB, Docker, and Weaviate.

cross-functional worksemantic searchNode.jsWeaviate
USER NEED
Search by intent, constraints, and natural descriptions instead of exact product keywords.
TEAM VALUE
Connect retrieval infrastructure to a user-facing search workflow while working inside an existing product context.
LEARNING
How embeddings, metadata, and chunking decisions affect the quality users experience at the interface.

How I approach product design

working method

Make the task clear before making the screen polished.

My engineering background helps me design within real constraints, communicate implementation details, and move between visual decisions and working prototypes.

01 · FRAME

Define the task

Name the user, goal, context, constraints, and success condition before choosing an interface pattern.

02 · STRUCTURE

Map the flow

Organize content and navigation, sketch alternatives, and reuse established components before inventing new ones.

03 · PROTOTYPE

Make it testable

Define responsive layouts and interactions in Figma or code, including key states and technical constraints.

04 · VALIDATE

Review and revise

Check heuristics, accessibility, and breakpoints, gather feedback when users are available, and document the revision.

AI in the workflow: I use AI to accelerate research, alternatives, and debugging, then verify decisions against user goals, accessibility, and technical constraints.

About

designer with engineering context

I grew up in Hanoi and moved to Riga in 2019, where I graduated with a Computer Science degree from the University of Latvia. I am now focusing on UX/UI and design engineering for digital products.

My CS background helps me collaborate closely with developers, understand responsive and technical constraints, and turn interface decisions into working prototypes. My illustration practice brings color, visual storytelling, and a distinct point of view to that process.

I speak six languages: English, Vietnamese, Latvian, German, Chinese, and Spanish. I am comfortable learning inside international teams, receiving feedback, and adapting to an established product system.

STATUS
Open to junior UX/UI roles

Let's make something useful.

I am looking for a junior UX/UI role where I can contribute to real client work, learn from experienced designers, and collaborate closely with product and engineering teams.
